Environmental performance analysis of PVC wall panels
Formaldehyde release amount
Formally produced PVC wall panels themselves do not contain formaldehyde, and their raw material polyvinyl chloride (similar to water pipe material) does not require the use of glue during the production process, theoretically not releasing formaldehyde
However, inferior products may contain plasticizers or recycled materials containing formaldehyde, and products that meet the GB/T 22709 standard (formaldehyde emission<0.1mg/m ³) should be selected
Other environmental characteristics
Material safety: Qualified PVC wall panels are non-toxic and can reduce wood consumption. Some products can be recycled
Production pollution: The carbide production process may generate higher carbon emissions (about 3-4 tons of CO ₂ per ton), while the ethylene process is more environmentally friendly.
Potential risks
Poor quality PVC wall panels may contain lead stabilizers or heavy metals, and low-priced inferior products should be avoided
